Talking about what you do for a living               Alison:  So, Rob, what do you do?                Rob: I'm in sales. I'm the regional sales manager for Dynasty Tech. I cover the Mid-Atlantic states.               Alison: Wow, interesting. How did you get started in that field?               Rob: Well, I've always been a people person, so I wanted to do work where I could really connect with others. Also, I've always been fascinated by marketing and selling, so sales seemed a natural fit. How about you? What line of work are you in?               Alison: I'm an industrial designer, actually.               Rob: Industrial design? What does that mean?                Alison: Well, in a nutshell, I design products that you use in your everyday environment—computer cases, sinks, shower heads—that kind of thing.
