Jessie: Mike, we need to talk about what to get Mom for Mother's Day.
Mike: Well, a card obviously. And I was thinking maybe we could get her a bunch of carnations.
Jessie: Yeah, but we get her that every year. How about we get her a different gift this year?
Mike: I don't mind getting her something else, but I think we should still get carnations because, you know, it's a tradition.
Jessie: Well, I was thinking of getting her a nice scarf.2 I saw a really beautiful cashmere one that I think she’ll love.
Mike: All right. I'll get the card and the flowers, and you pick up the scarf. We can figure out the total amount and split it later.
