These symptoms include: • Trouble paying attention in class. • Losing interest in tasks before they are completed. • Putting off homework and other assignments. • Trouble organizing schoolwork. • Forgetting daily tasks like bringing a lunch to school. After a teacher has identified these symptoms, he or she can help improve the student's classroom experience. Some tips for teachers to remember include: • Set clear rules for the student. • Offer praise when the student does well. • Help the student get organized. • Talk with the student's parents. • Be patient and understanding.
