James: Look at this one with a monkey on it. I like it. I'm going to buy it. Carrie: Oh! They sell phone cases here, too! And look at these cute bags. James: That one's nice, the one shaped like a frog. Carrie: It is cute. And only NT$250! I'm getting it. James: Is it OK to haggle here? Carrie: Yes. Our guide told me the vendors expect it, and you can usually get them to lower the price a little. James: OK. I'll let you do the talking. [Carrie goes away and speaks to the vendor; then she comes back.] James: What did she say? Carrie: She said she'd give us 10 percent off. James: Fantastic! What a bargain! Hey, let's double back for a minute. I saw a stall selling baseball caps earlier. I want to see if I can get a good price on one of those, too!
